Foxconn Pledges $10B for LCD Manufacturing in Wisconsin

Foxconn is expanding its presence in the United states with a $10 billion investment in Wisconsin, which is initially projected to create well-nigh 3,000 jobs in the region.

The Taiwan-based firm's new Wisconsin manufacturing facility will make LCDs, which volition "be used in everything from self-driving cars to aircraft systems and in the fields of education, entertainment, healthcare, safety and surveillance, advanced manufacturing systems, and office automation, amongst others," Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said in a statement.

The 20-million-foursquare-foot facility will be located in the district of House Speaker Paul Ryan, who was on hand to announce the deal at the White Business firm today, aslope Gov. Walker, Vice President Mike Pence, President Trump, and Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou.
